This Week

Tuesday is a park play date at Shalom playground. They have a great ship/castle play area that my kids love! Also for older kids there are baseball and soccer fields near by and a parking lot that could be used for bikes etc at your discretion.

Thursday we're heading to Discovery Station in Hagerstown. It will be a fun time of exploring! There is a little tykes play area, a magnet experiment room, a farm room including a corn "sand" box and a grocery store. This is open to any age children and there is still time to sign up! Let us know ASAP if you would like to come. Plan to arrive there at 10. We also have booked the lunch room at 12 so bring a bag lunch for yourself and your little ones. If you would like to car pool or bring a friend that would be recommended.

Here are some quick directions. The address is 112 Park Pl Shippensburg, PA 17257.

If you take 11 up from Chambersburg, once you get into Shippensburg take a left onto Park Place and you are there.

From 81 take PA -696 exit (exit 24) toward Fayette Street. Turn left onto Olde Scotland Road (PA -696) follow that to the T and turn left onto South Fayette Street follow that to a stop light and turn left onto West King Street (US 11) follow that for just less than a mile and turn right onto Park Place. Hey Ladies! We're looking forward to a great summer! This is the place to get information and keep updated on the Chambersburg First Church of God Mom's Group. (Name yet to be decided.) We're glad you're checking this out!! 

These events will be a time of enjoying laughter and encouragement with other moms, enjoying time with your kids, giving kids time to play with their friends and build more friendships, and letting them burn off all that energy they have!

Some events have sign ups because the destination has limits. But most of the events are completely come as you can. There are no attendance requirements. We would love to have any mom come with her kids anytime, and bring a friend! You can come to one event or all of them, whatever works for you and your family. Any playground and pool days are very relaxed, come when you can, leave when you have to, bring a lunch if you want to stay and picnic, etc.

For some events there is also a link to the event's website in the Links section in the right margin.  There is also a Community Events section in the margin, this is a list of other local events for kids happening throughout the summer. If you have any more ideas or hear of any other local activities please leave comments with your suggestions!!
